Cleaning Porcelain, Bisque, fabric, Plastic and Composition dolls
Do you have a vintage or antique collectible doll that has been with you for years? Dolls collect dust and oil particles just by being in our homes. They need to be undressed and carefully deep cleaned, so the dust doesn’t deteriorate the materials the dolls are made of. We specialize in deep cleaning both the dolls and their clothing, repairing what needs to be repaired, restyling the hair of the dolls, and ironing their clothing, so your doll can bring you joy for many more years. Prices starting at 25$, email us your needs for detailed evaluation.
Restringing and Repairing damaged dolls
Putting together broken dolls that need minor parts
We specialize in restringing dolls of various and sizes, restoring their internal parts so they can hold their pose. We also work on marionettes and puppets of different types, restoring their functionality. We give “mama dolls” their voices back by replacing their antique voice boxes with working ones. Prices start at $30, plus the price of parts. Email us your needs for detailed evaluation.
Spa for Beloved Plushies
Deep cleaning, repairing and remodeling plushies, soft toys and soft body composition dolls
We love soft toys, and offer deep cleaning. If needed, this can involve unstuffing the body to clean the fabric thoroughly, and cleaning or changing the stuffing. Price for simple cleaning is $25. For cleaning with unstuffing starts at $50. Email us your needs for detailed evaluation.
Hard plastic deterioration treatment
Some of the plastics used for dolls in 1950s proved unstable, and are deteriorating with time. Dolls like Toni P-90, P-91, Mary Hoyer, and some of the hard plastic 18 in Alexander dolls are affected. They start emitting sour milk odor, and in time the plasticizer starts leaking out in a form of withe waxy substance. While it is impossible to stop this chemical process, we are striving to control it and save those dolls that are precious to you.
Antique kid leather doll body repair
Antique French and German dolls with bisque heads and kid leather bodies that were made in 1880s-1940s dry up and start cracking, and need maintenance. We clean the kid leather and lovingly patch their bodies with authentic era material with as close color match as possible.
